She has written articles for the Archives of Sandplay Therapy and the Journal of Sandplay Therapy. She lectures internationally and consults and practices in Northern California. The author of HIV: The Storm and Painted Ponies: Bipolar Disorder in Children, Adolescents and Adults, Kate is also featured on the video Sandplay Therapy and The Liminal World. She co-authored Sandplay, The Sacred Healing: A Guide to Symbolic Process and Reweaving the Web: the Treatment of Substance Abuse with Phoenix Helm Simpson. She is a teaching member of the International Society for Sandplay Therapy and a teaching and founding member of Sandplay Therapists of America.
